According to a report from UNUSIDA's website on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, Dr. H. Fatkul Anam, M. Si, Rector of UNUSIDA, said that the event was organized to enhance students' understanding of the importance of scientific work and how to write articles for international publications with high impact.

In his speech, he emphasized the importance of knowledge and technology, which continue to evolve. He urged students to stay updated on the latest research developments and to take advantage of international opportunities.

"Science and technology are dynamic and constantly developing, so we must become more critical in our learning and skill development, especially in producing scientific work that can make a real contribution," he said.

The first speaker, Arda Surya Editya, a researcher and expert in international journals, shared various tips and tricks for conducting research worthy of publication. He stressed that students should produce scientific work that not only meets academic standards but also provides solutions to the problems around us.

Arda revealed that what truly matters and can affect the quality of research articles before publication is their societal impact. The most valuable aspect of research is not just the results, but the impact it leaves on society. Ensure that the research conducted can provide tangible solutions to the issues in the surrounding environment.

"Good research is not just about writing, but how our research results can have a positive impact on society and the scientific world," Arda explained.

The second speaker, Prof. Dr. Nangkula Utaberta, a professor and senior researcher from UCSI Malaysia, presented strategies for writing articles for high-impact international journals. He discussed how to choose the right journal, how to write an engaging abstract, and the importance of constructive peer reviews.

He emphasized the importance of faculty, students, and researchers developing their skills in writing international journals. The ability to write international journals is crucial for improving research quality, expanding academic networks, and having a significant impact on both society and the scientific community. Therefore, this skill must be continuously developed for the advancement of science and technology.

"International publication is one of the best ways to make our research known globally, but the quality and impact of the articles we write are also very important," he added.

Prof. Nangkula hopes that UNUSIDA and UCSI Malaysia can collaborate to provide new insights and skills for participants to produce scientific works that are beneficial to the development of science and technology, and have a positive international impact.

"I am confident that UNUSIDA students have extraordinary potential to produce high-quality international journals. With dedication, creativity, and a strong research spirit, they are capable of producing scientific works that not only meet global standards but also provide positive impact for society and the academic world," he added.
