Jakarta - As a form of DAMRI's commitment to customers and in supporting the revival of tourism in Indonesia, DAMRI provides services connecting YIA Airport to Imogiri.
Together with the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, DAMRI serves the route through the National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) segment in Yogyakarta.
DAMRI Acting Corporate Secretary Chrystian R.M Pohan said in a written statement on Monday (9/10/2023) that DAMRI's service from Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) to Imogiri, Bantul, Yogyakarta is served by two HiAce buses that will be operated to support the development of mobility in both areas.
The route from YIA to Imogiri and vice versa is arranged in two departure schedules below:
1. YIA - Palbapang Terminal - Imogiri
Departures from YIA buses are available at 08.00, 10.00, 15.00, and 16.00 WIB;
From Palbapang Terminal buses are available at 09.30, 11.30, 16.30, and 17.30 WIB;
While from Imogiri buses are available at 10:00, 12:00, 17:00, and 18:00 WIB.
2. Imogiri -Terminal Palbapang - YIA
Departures from Imogiri are available at 04.00, 06.00, 11.00, and 13.00 WIB;
From Palbapang Terminal buses are available at 04.30, 06.30, 11.30, and 13.30 WIB;
While from YIA buses are available at 06.00, 08.00, 13.00, and 15.00 WIB.
The fare charged for the KSPN service is Rp20,000 and can be booked through the departure counter with payment using non-cash (QRIS).
Imogiri is an area in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) in which there are many tourist attractions to the cemetery of kings built by Sultan Agung. Meanwhile, YIA Airport is an airport located 45 kilometers from Yogyakarta. Since 2022, the number of YIA Airport passengers has continued to increase to two million passengers.
Pohan explained that the presence of the KSPN service is part of DAMRI's business development activities to strengthen and expand the land transportation network, build intermodal connectivity and build tourism connectivity while supporting the improvement of the tourism area in Yogyakarta.
"In order to build domestic tourism growth, DAMRI continues to contribute to providing alternatives for domestic and foreign tourists who want to visit tourist destinations using DAMRI land transportation modes," he said on Monday (9/10/2023).
In addition, as part of the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, DAMRI also provides digital books to reduce paper usage by optimizing QR codes that will be connected to DAMRI service information to tourist attractions that can be visited using DAMRI.
"Customers can access the digital book provided by DAMRI practically and efficiently, by visiting the website wisata.damri.co.id/yogyakarta or scanning the QR code on the KSPN Yogyakarta bus fleet," he said.
Pohan hopes that DAMRI's consistency in transforming by utilizing technological advances can facilitate tourist access to tourist attractions and can have an impact on increasing tourist visits in the area.
