Surabaya - The tourist destinations in East Java seem endless. Starting from beach tourism, mountains, education, to artificial tourism there are in East Java.
For this reason, to fill the Eid al-Adha holiday this year, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa specifically invited her family to try the thrill of traveling and adventure at Jengkoang Hill in Batu City, Friday (30/6/2023).
Jengkoang Hill not only offers beautiful natural scenery, but also has exciting adventure tours.
Using an open jeep, Governor Khofifah invited her children, grandchildren and family to go off road to Bukit Jengkoang.
While carrying her beloved granddaughter, Aila, and accompanied by her first daughter, Patimasang, Governor Khofifah occasionally greeted people along the way.
The adventure gets more exciting when the paved path starts to become macadam and muddy ground. The roar of the car engine began to roar through the muddy and slippery ground. Even the group had to get off and walk so that the car could pass the incline.
"This is super exciting. I was also nervous when passing through the slippery road. But everything paid off with the beautiful scenery along the way," said Khofifah.
The view of orange, apple and coffee plantations accompanied the entire journey. Not quite there, the whole group was amazed when they arrived at Jengkoang Hill. Beautiful hilly scenery spoiled as far as the eye could see.
Like the saying "raft upstream, swim to the bank". The struggle to cross the tense off-road track was paid off by the beautiful scenery of Jengkoang Hill. Of course, Bukit Jengkoang adds another tourist attraction to Batu City.
"This is super beautiful and amazing," was the sentence uttered from the number one person in East Java when amazed by the beauty of Bukit Jengkoang.
Not wanting the memorable moment to pass quickly, Governor Khofifah and her family took a short break at a stall on top of Jengkoang Hill. Accompanied by a cup of coffee and traditional snacks, they enjoyed the natural beauty on offer.
"East Java has a lot of tourism potential. And Batu City is able to maximize this potential. Various types of tourism are here. Nature tourism, agricultural tourism, play tourism, and adventure tourism are all here," said Khofifah.
"Tourism in Batu City can be optimized like today is also inseparable from the participation of the community or community. Like this adventure tour to Bukit Jengkoang, the Bumiaji Amazing Jip Adventure (BAJA) Community not only provides a fleet, but also opens an off road route. This kind of synergy is what I hope can happen in other cities," he continued.
The group performed Friday prayers at Jengkoang hill and after Friday prayers, Governor Khofifah's group continued their journey to Coban Talun. Upon arrival at Cuban Talun, here the group got wet by passing through the river.
Interestingly, in the middle of the trip, Khofifah stopped by UD. Gelora, a place for collecting and processing apples and oranges, which are typical souvenirs of Batu City.
Not only stopping by, she also took the time to chat and greet the owner of UD. Gelora, Sugeng Slamet, who claimed to have pioneered the apple orchard since 1991.
Still in Batu City, Governor Khofifah's entourage also traveled to pick 55 oranges. Not wanting to be left behind, the little Aila also participated in picking the ripe oranges herself on the 2-hectare land.
The excitement of picking oranges made the group ignore the drizzle that was falling slowly. By late afternoon, each person had managed to pick a bag of sweet oranges.
At the end, because it coincided with the school holidays, Governor Khofifah also invited the entire community to fill the vacation time to explore the various tourist destinations in East Java.
According to her, traveling is enough in East Java because there are already natural attractions, adventure tours to educational tours.
"So let's go on vacation in East Java, because the tourism options are so diverse and complete. So don't wait too long, please explore East Java tourism as much as possible and enjoy its beauty and excitement," he concluded. (MC Diskominfo Jatim/ida/toeb)
