Bima - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno revealed that the Rimpu Mantika Festival is the right momentum to promote tourism and economic potential in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara.
Sandiaga, in opening the Rimpu Mantika Festival at Serasuba Field on Friday (26/4/2024), said that the Rimpu Mantika Festival is included in the 100 events selected from all over Indonesia in the Ministry's annual event calendar, Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN). The festival, which was held on April 25-27, carries the authentic traditions and culture of Bima.
"This festival has the theme of heritage of Bima, introducing the cultural wealth of tourism potential of three regions namely Bima City, Dompu Regency, and Bima Regency," Sandiaga said.
In addition, Menparekraf Sandiaga believes that the Rimpu Mantika Festival is able to drive the economy of the people of Bima and its surroundings. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the community when watching the performances presented at the location of the Rimpu Mantika Festival and the number of MSMEs participating around the event location.
"This festival can have an economic impact on MSMEs and even directly increase MSME sales by around 20 to 25 percent of the total spent and this will open business opportunities and employment opportunities and accelerate the achievement of the target of 4.4 million jobs in 2024," he said.
The opening of the Rimpu Mantika Festival was also filled with performances of various Bima arts and a fashion show of local clothing.
During the visit, Sandiaga was accompanied by the Minister's Expert Staff for Crisis Management, Fadjar Hutomo; Pj. Governor of NTB, Lalu Gita Ariadi; Head of the NTB Provincial Tourism Office, Jamaluddin Malady; and Pj. Mayor of Bima, Mohammad Rum.
