Ganjar Pranowo visits Nyoman Nuarta's Art Studio, shown the Presidential Office in the Capital of the Archipelago

BANDUNG - I Nyoman Nuarta looked happy to welcome Ganjar Pranowo when the 2024 presidential candidate visited the NU Art Studio Bandung museum, Tuesday (3/10/2023). The Indonesian art maestro shook Ganjar's hand and hugged him.

Nyoman Nuarta was eager to show Ganjar around the museum. A number of works of art on display stunned Ganjar.

"I have wanted to come here for a long time, to see Mr. Nyoman's extraordinary artworks. He is one of the artists I admire. And today I entered his museum. Wow, it's amazing," marveled Ganjar.

Nyoman invited Ganjar to see hundreds of artworks there. Many famous artworks are on display, including the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Statue, Jalesveva Jayamahe, Nightmire Statue and hundreds of other sculptures.

Nyoman also showed Ganjar the design of the Presidential Office in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in the shape of Garuda. In the IKN project, Nyoman is trusted to design several main buildings, such as the presidential office, PUPR Ministry Office, state mosque, bridge and also a landfill.

"This will be the presidential office in Pak Ganjar's IKN. It will be your future office when you become president," said Nyoman, greeted by the applause of a number of artists who were there.

Not only the design, Nyoman also invited Ganjar to enter a mini movie theater to see more details of the presidential office at IKN. In the moving picture, the IKN presidential office looks more beautiful.

"So the concept is like that sir, I made the design tropical. The building is made uniquely in such a way that the wind can enter inside and is full of green trees. So the atmosphere is more refreshing," said Nyoman.

Nyoman also invited Ganjar to see the process of making steel pillars that will later be installed at IKN. The steel pillars will be sent and installed in Kalimantan.

"Everything is handmade from here, sir, made by the nation's children," he said.

Meanwhile, Ganjar said he was happy to meet an artist of Nyoman Nuarta's caliber. He was invited to see his work, discuss and gain a lot of knowledge.

"And behind the beauty of IKN, there is Mr. Nyoman Nuarta there. I was shown how the process began from design, concept, to construction work. Only one word, wow," he said.

From his visit, Ganjar became even more convinced that Indonesia is capable of becoming a great country. The proof is that Indonesia has many powerful and world-recognized artists.

"This is proof that we can make our own. Mr. Nyoman has proven that he is an artist who is also capable of making great designs and works like IKN. Not only building physically, but also providing art and other more comprehensive nuances," he concluded.
