Banjarmasin - South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Andi Rian Djajadi, S.I.K., M.H., held a press conference at Mathilda Hall, Banjarmasin, Monday (17/07/2023) at 09.00 Wita. The press conference was held to provide important announcements regarding the disclosure of narcotics cases resulting from Operation Antik Intan - 2023.
In a press conference attended by journalists and media representatives, South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Andi Rian provided detailed information about Operation Antik Intan - 2023 which has successfully uncovered narcotics trafficking networks in the South Kalimantan region.
In this operation, the South Kalimantan Police's Anti-Narcotics Directorate successfully uncovered 196 drug cases involving 236 suspects consisting of 216 men and 20 women. From these arrests, the police managed to confiscate evidence in the form of 10.8 kilograms of methamphetamine, 91.61 grams of marijuana, 4,822 XTC items, 0.25 grams of XTC powder, 2,713 Zenith items, 559 Psychotropic items, 33 Ampoules, 9 Bottles, 2 Strips, List G as many as 1,865 Ampoules, 5,908 items, 45 Strips, 44 Vials, 3 Boxes, 17 bottles of Alcohol and a sum of cash.
Police Chief of Police Inspector General Andi Rian in his press conference said, "Operation Antik Intan - 2023, which was held for 14 days from June 15-28, 2023, is a real effort from the South Kalimantan Police to eradicate narcotics trafficking in this region. We are committed to providing protection and security to the community from the dangers of narcotics."
He also added that this operation was thanks to the hard work of Dit Resnarkoba Polda Kalsel. He appreciated the officers' efforts in uncovering this case and emphasized that strict action would be taken against anyone involved in drug trafficking.
The disclosure of this narcotics case is one of the efforts of the South Kalimantan Police in fighting narcotics trafficking which damages the younger generation and threatens regional security stability. South Kalimantan Police Chief also invites the public to continue to support and report information related to narcotics trafficking to the authorities.
With the successful disclosure of narcotics cases through Operation Antik Intan - 2023, it is hoped that it can provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators and prevent further spread of narcotics trafficking in the South Kalimantan region.
