PhD and Masters Scholarships for Indonesian Citizens


Indonesia Herald-Jakarta. Indonesian government provides scholarships for Indonesian citizens to study PhD and masters both in Indonesia and overseas. Their scholarship program called Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI) for Master and Doctoral Programs is funded by the Indonesian government through the use of National Trust for Education Development (DPPN). It is managed by LPDP to finance masters or PhD programs at top Indonesian or overseas universities.

This scholarship aims to support the supply of educated and qualified Indonesian human resources who also possess leadership quality and a strong vision as the future leaders of Indonesia.

The applicants targeted by BPI Master and Doctoral Program are Indonesian citizens with excellent academic achievement and strong leadership quality, who wish to continue pursuing studies in similar or different fields than the ones they have previously studied.

BPI scholarship program is generous enough for Indonesians as it covers tuition fees, settlement allowance, living allowance, book allowance, family allowance, conference expenses, field research expenses, airfare tickets, visa expenses for those studying abroad and health insurance.
